We cordially invite you to attend the 4th European Maize Meeting in person.
More and more people are currently being vaccinated in Europe and we have therefore decided to organize the next Maize-Meeting in Regensburg from September 15 to 17, 2021. We look very much forward to discussing science with you in person during these difficult times!
The meeting will take place at the Vielberth Building at the University of Regensburg in the South-East of Germany. To make it a safe meeting, we will provide - amongst other things - FFP2 and medical masks, quick tests before the meeting starts, and organize the whole meeting according to the university's hygiene guidelines. Anyway, we hope that many (all) of you will be fully vaccinated by September and that the infection numbers will strongly decrease during summer.
The conference is targeted at interested PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and principal investigators working especially in the fields of Quantitative Genetics, Stress Biology (biotic and abiotic), Developmental Biology, Epigenetics and Gene Regulation or are interested in the development of New Tools.
COSTS AND REGISTRATION
Registration is compulsory. We kindly ask all participants to book hotels separately (click here for ACCOMMODATION). We have suggested four hotels in the historical city center of Regensburg (but there are many more) and everybody is asked to book a hotel by him/herself. Invited speakers will be accommodated at Hotel Arch. Registration costs were kept low and cover all coffee breaks, meals, conference dinner and guided city tours (150€ for PhD students and 200€ for postdocs and PIs).
Final registration deadline is July 31, 2021.
Due to the present hygiene guidelines, the number of participants is currently limited to 100 (depending on the development of the Corona situation in the next months we may be able to increase the number of participants). In case there are more applications, we will make a selection based on the research topic and distribute participation possibilities among labs. Please register through the online conference portal.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION is required for all participants. The abstract in English can be submitted exclusively through your personal account, which is created upon registration.
Deadline for abstract submission is August 22, 2021.
Please, check on the updates regarding the PROGRAM of the workshop.
Looking forward to seeing you!
The Organization Team,
Viktoriya Avramova, Chris-Carolin Schön (Technical University Munich), Thomas Dresselhaus and Karina van der Linde (University of Regensburg).
